In 2014, Matson Bailey and Jonas Rutherford came up with the idea for an app and website where you could watch, track, and protect sea turtles around the world.
They called it “Turtle Friend” and their goal was to create an education and fundraising tool for sea turtle conservation. The amazing thing was that Jonas & Matson were only eight years old at the time!
The two boys took their vision to non-profit organization Paso Pacifico and the rest is history. Paso Pacifico jumped at the idea of creating a new mechanism to fully engage the public in the fascinating lives of sea turtles and promote their conservation.
